Our Wood Countertop Installation Process
1. Measure and Quote:
We start by scheduling an appointment to measure your space accurately. Following this, we provide a detailed quote that outlines all aspects of the installation.
We can provide you a FREE installation quote with or without our butcher block panels material. We also install live-edge countertops.
2. Quote Approval:
Once you approve the quote, we move quickly to the next step. We deliver the butcher block countertops and begin working the same day.
3. Precise Measuring:
On the installation day, we re-measure to ensure everything is perfectly accurate, setting the stage for a flawless fit.
4. Cutting and Fitting:
Our skilled craftsmen then cut the countertops to fit your space precisely, including any necessary cutouts for sinks or appliances.
5. Edging and Sanding:
We meticulously router your custom edge and sand the countertops to ensure a smooth and polished finish, adding to both the beauty and durability of the wood.
Final Step: Finishing and Protecting
To properly protect a butcher block countertop, it needs to be sealed on the bottom and all edges before install. The top is then sealed after installlation. This complete seal protects the panels from rotting due to moisture.
We offer several finishing options to protect and enhance your countertops:
A two-part scuff-proof penetrating oil that bonds to wood and comes in multiple colors. This product is top of the line for a durable finish for wood projects. Comes in natural, pure and multiple colors.
Odie's Oil is a proprietary blend of oils and waxes that produces a lustrous sheen in just one coat, and the luster deepens and improves with age. It is food-safe, solvent-free, and completely non-toxic. Made in Florida.
A regular option for sealing and protecting. After first application, maintain the finish by wiping down every few months (tops and bottom, esp around sink).
We do not use polyurethane as it tends to crack, chip, and peal over time. For heavy commercial use, we recommend Rubio Monocoat.

While we expertly handle all aspects of the countertop installation, please note that we do not connect plumbing, gas, or electric appliances. We recommend hiring a licensed professional for these connections to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations.
Premium European Beech Wood Butcher Block
The timeless beauty of natural wood
Our butcher block choices are premium-grade European beech imported from Eastern Europe, Birch and Hard Maple from the Mid-Atlantic of the US. Premium-grade means the wood is evenly colored without knots, chips, discoloration or filler.
Wood typically carried in by the big box stores (Home Depot, Lowes, Floor & Decor, etc.), are Hevea (rubber wood) or rustic Birch, which are softer than European Beech and Hard Maple. The hardwoods they do carry- maple, white oak/oak - would be what we sell as rustic-grade, which does include knots and flaws that re filled.
European Beech and Hard Maple is a hard, dense and very light wood (similar to white oak ). Our panels are manufactured / imported from Europe, are finger joined with technically flawless gluing without med-large size knots, chips, discoloration or filler.
